CPRI will shortlist the candidates for admission to the respective higher education programmes on merit, based on the average percentage of marks obtained in all semesters of the qualifying examination, GATE/UGC-NET score, wherever applicable, and marks obtained in the personal interview. The shortlisted SRF candidates will be required to apply to the concerned MoU Institutions for admission to the Ph.D. programme. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements and are selected/admitted by the concerned MoU Institutions for the Ph.D. programme will be awarded SRF fellowship by CPRI, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions. The shortlisted JRF candidates will be required to apply to the concerned MoU Institutions for admission to suitable higher education programmes such as M.Tech. by Research. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements and are selected/admitted by the concerned MoU Institutions for the respective programme will be awarded JRF fellowship by CPRI, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions. The selected JRFs/SRFs shall carry out their assigned research and development activities at CPRI under the guidance of the designated Internal Guide/Mentor.
