- Research Assistant – I (Unreserved): 2nd Class Post Graduate degree (minimum) in the subjects below. Four years of experience post qualification (i.e. after Post Graduation) /Ph.D. Relaxable in deserving cases.
- Research Assistant - II (OBC): 2nd Class Post Graduate degree (minimum) in the subjects below. One year of experience post qualification (i.e. after Post Graduation). Relaxable in deserving cases.
- Both posts need at least a 2nd Class Post Graduate degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Anthropology, Geography or Public Health from a recognized Institution / University. Research Assistant – I needs four years of post-qualification experience /Ph.D.; Research Assistant - II needs one year.
