## Eligibility

- Sr. Project Scientist: Master's degree (M-Tech/MS(R)/MCA/MPP or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline, First Class or equivalent; Sound understanding of the Indian power sector - its planning, generation, transmission, distribution, and grid operations ecosystem - along with the regulatory framework governing it; Demonstrated research output in the form of papers, reports, or technical studies
- Principal Project Scientist: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Public Policy, Economics / Finance, Energy Science, or related discipline [M-Tech in relevant field or Masters in Public Policy (MPP) with 4 years experience may also be considered]; Expertise in electricity markets, quantitative methods, modelling, and forecasting as applied to energy systems; policy framing; Sound understanding of the Indian power sector; Ability to draft research reports, discussion notes, working papers, and policy briefs
- Sr. Project Scientist: Master's degree (M-Tech/MS(R)/MCA/MPP or equivalent) in Electrical/Power/Energy Engineering, Energy Economics, Public Policy or a closely related discipline, First Class. Principal Project Scientist: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Public Policy, Economics/Finance, Energy Science or related discipline (M-Tech or MPP with 4 years experience may also be considered). The requirement for each post is in the eligibility table above.

## Pay

It depends on the post: Rs. 60,750 - 62,570 - 64,450 - 66,380 - 68,370 - 70,420 - 72,530 - 74,710 - 76,950 - 79,260 p.m. Plus HRA @30% for Sr. Project Scientist, Rs. 75,600 - 77,870 - 80,210 - 82,620 - 85,100 - 87,650 - 90,280 - 92,900 - 95,780 - 98,650 - 1,01,610 p.m. plus HRA @30% for Principal Project Scientist.
