- A basic university or equivalent qualification included in any one of the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical register of Indian Medical register UNDER THE State/Central Medical Registration Act.
- MD Psychiatry or DNB Psychiatry.
- Candidates must possess a basic medical qualification included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, registered with MCI or State Medical Council, along with MD Psychiatry or DNB Psychiatry.
