- Project Associate-I: Only Bachelor's Degree required
- Project Associate-II: Bachelor's Degree as above
- National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or
- A selection process through National level exams conducted by Central Government Departments or their agencies and institutions.
- The notice gives the desirable qualification as scholars having cleared:
- The desirable qualification is not compulsory, but it decides which fellowship rate a candidate receives (see Pay and Tenure).
- Project Associate-I: Rs. 37,000/- + Applicable HRA
- Project Associate-II: Rs. 42,000 + Applicable HRA
- A Four Years Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Earth sciences, Materials, Minerals, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering or its equivalent is required. Project Associate-II also needs 2 years' R & D experience.

## Pay

Project Associate-I gets Rs. 37,000/- with the desirable qualification or Rs. 30,000/- without it. Project Associate-II gets Rs. 42,000 or Rs. 33,000/-, respectively.

## Selection process

1. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirements of the project. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date. Mere possession of the minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. The interview date has not yet been announced.
2. Candidates are shortlisted on merit and project requirements, and shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, whose date will be informed to them. No TA/DA is paid for the interview.
