Remuneration and Terms of Engagement

- A fixed monthly amount may be admissible. It is worked out by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. The pension deducted is the pension as fixed at retirement. If the employee has taken the commuted value of the pension, the commuted portion is also included in the amount deducted. The remuneration stays the same for the whole contract, with no annual increment or percentage increase.
- The consultant may have to work beyond office hours and on Saturday, Sunday or any other holiday when the work demands it. No extra remuneration is paid for extra hours or holidays. The selected candidate will report to the Director/HoD, depending on the place of posting. He or she must mark attendance in the Attendance Register, or in any other applicable mode. Failing to do so may lead to a deduction from the remuneration.

What Happens on the Day
- Candidates report at the conference room of CSIR-IMMT at 10:30 AM on 4 November 2026 and submit the filled Annexure-1 form. A Screening-cum-Selection Committee of CSIR-IMMT then holds the walk-in interview of eligible candidates from 11:00 A.M. The competent authority's decision on screening and selection is final, and no correspondence on it will be entertained.

- The Director, CSIR-IMMT, decides all matters of eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and whether to engage a consultant at all. This decision is final and binding, and no interim inquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
- Selected candidates are bound by the Official Secrets Act, 1923. They may not disclose, publish or pass to a third party any data or information from the assignment without the Department's written consent.
- Consultants are fully accountable for their advice and service, in line with Central Vigilance Commission circular No. 01/01/17 dated 23.01.2017 and circular No. 08/06/11 dated 24.06.2011. They may not advise others in any matter against the Council's interest, or take up work outside the contract.
- If a candidate is found to have concealed or distorted any information in the form, the engagement is liable to termination without notice.
