How-to guides

How to download an admit card

  1. Open the official website of the exam conducting body. Use the official link given on the notice page.
  2. Find the admit card or hall ticket link for your exam.
  3. Enter your registration number or roll number and your date of birth or password.
  4. Check your name, photo, exam date, shift and exam centre.
  5. Download the PDF and take a clear printout. Carry it with a valid photo ID.

How to check a result

  1. Open the official website and look for the Result or Candidate Activity section.
  2. Click the result link for your exam and enter your roll number or registration number.
  3. Check your marks and status. Download the scorecard or merit list PDF.
  4. Save the PDF and keep it for the next stage, such as document verification.

How to apply online for a government job

  1. Read the full official notification first: eligibility, age limit, dates and fee.
  2. Keep these ready: a recent photo, signature, ID proof, marksheets, category certificate (if any), mobile number and email.
  3. Register on the official portal and fill the form carefully. Details must match your documents.
  4. Upload the photo and signature in the size asked. If the file is too large, use the Image Resizer.
  5. Pay the fee (if any), submit, and keep a printout of the final form.

Photo and signature size problems

  1. Forms usually ask for a photo and signature within a size limit in KB, and sometimes in pixels.
  2. Open the Image Resizer, choose your file and set the maximum KB from the notification.
  3. Download the result and check the size on your device before you upload.
  4. If the form asks for a single image with both, use the Photo + Signature Joiner.

How to avoid fake job websites and scams

  1. Government recruitment sites usually end in .gov.in or .nic.in. Check the address bar before you type any details.
  2. Real recruitment never asks you to pay money to get a job or to be shortlisted. Fees go only to the official portal during application.
  3. Do not trust job offers on WhatsApp or Telegram that ask for payment or your bank details.
  4. Always open the official notification PDF and compare dates and fees with what you see elsewhere.
  5. If something looks too good to be true, it usually is. Ask in the comments of official channels or contact the official helpdesk.
