Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has published the UPSSSC Junior Engineer JE (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026 (1,156 Posts) recruitment notice for 1,156 posts in Uttar Pradesh. The largest are Junior Engineer (Mechanical) (304), Mechanic (270) and Junior Engineer (Mechanical) (PWD) (264).

Eligibility: Candidates must have a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent Diploma in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Government. Preference will be given to candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or have obtained a ‘B’ Certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC); Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government. They must also possess a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance Trade from a government institution or an institution recognized by the Government; Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized polytechnic institute is required. Age: Age as on 01 July 2026; For Minimum Age: 18 – 21 Years (Post Wise); For Maximum Age: 40 Years. Check the official notification for category-wise relaxation and the exact cut-off date.

The application fee is ₹ 25/- for General, OBC, EWS, ₹ 25/- for SC, ST and ₹ 25/- for PH Candidates.

Selection is made through up pet 2025 shortlisting, mains examination, document verification and final merit list.
