Who Can Apply
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology / Freshwater Ecology / Aquatic Biology / Biodiversity / Aquatic Environment Management from a recognized University.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years as reckoned on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Candidates must meet the following essential educational qualifications to be eligible for the Project Associate-I post:
Pay and Tenure
- (a) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA: Applicable for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET lectureship / Assistant professorship or GATE, OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
- (b) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA: Applicable for other candidates who do not fall under category (a) above.
- The monthly emoluments depend on the candidate's qualification status:
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) shall be admissible as per applicable rules, and project staff must make their own arrangements for accommodation. The positions are purely temporary, co-terminus with the project, and tenure shall not exceed six or seven years as per CSIR guidelines.

Important Instructions
- The positions are purely temporary and do not confer any right for regularization against any CSIR/CSIR-NEERI posts.
- Only candidates who have acquired essential qualifications and whose results have been declared (with at least a provisional certificate) are eligible to apply. Final semester/result-awaited or Ph.D. submitted candidates are not eligible.
- No TA will be paid for appearing in offline interviews if applicable.
- Selected candidates must join within the timeframe mentioned in the offer letter after completing pre-appointment formalities.
- Selected candidates must sign an undertaking to maintain the confidentiality of project findings and intellectual property.
