Who Can Apply
- Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Mathematics with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal. Researchers who have recently obtained their Ph.D. degree are also encouraged to apply.
Pay and Tenure
- Consolidated monthly emoluments are ₹58000 (Rupees Fifty-Eight Thousand only), ₹61000 (Rupees Sixty-One Thousand only), or ₹67000 (Rupees Sixty-Seven Thousand only) plus HRA as per rules of the institute, depending on qualification and experience in the three categories respectively. House Rent Allowance is payable with the respective emoluments as per the rules of the Institute.

How to Apply for ISI Research Associate
- Prepare a cover letter addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Theoretical Statistics and Mathematics Division.
- Include a current resume in English with a recent photograph.
- Provide the following details: (a) Name in block letters, (b) Permanent/Present Address, (c) Email address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parent's Name/Spouse's Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class, (h) Experience if any, (i) Date of submission of Ph.D. thesis/Date of receipt of the Ph.D. degree, (j) List of post-doctoral positions if any, (k) List of publications and preprints, (l) A research statement including a summary of work done, (m) Copies of papers/preprints, along with at least two recommendation letters including one from the thesis supervisor, (n) Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card, and (o) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status along with all documents/certificates/testimonials.
- Ensure recommenders mail the letters directly to the address mentioned in the subject header with the subject header "Reference letter for ".
