Essential qualification (PGT)
- (a) An Integrated Post Graduate Course from an NCTE-recognised institution or university in the concerned subject, with at least 50% marks in aggregate including the B.Ed. component; OR a Master Degree from a recognised institution or university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject.
- (b) A B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognised institution or university with at least 50% marks; OR a three-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution or university with at least 50% marks; OR a four-year Integrated Degree with at least 50% marks from an NCTE-recognised institution or university, including a B.Ed. component.
- (c) Proficiency in teaching in both Hindi and English medium.

Service Conditions
- Contractual teachers stay engaged until a regular teacher joins or the academic session ends, whichever comes first. If their performance is not satisfactory, their service can end earlier.

- Checking classwork, homework, examination papers and project work on time
- Setting question papers for the tests and examinations given by the examination department
- Preparing lesson plans and keeping students' academic records
- Preparing students for study-related activities, home activities and cultural competitions
- Escorting students to activities outside the school when needed
- Any other work the school assigns
- Contract teachers perform all the duties of regular teachers, including:
