Marine Biology / Zoology / Equivalent etc.,; Ph.D. in the concerned discipline

- The job involves halting during visit to fish landing centres in selected fishing villages
- Selected candidates may be required to travel in sea for water, sediment and fish sample collection regularly

TNJFU Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Job Description
- The selected candidate is to be engaged in fish sampling in the fish landing centres, data collection and analysis.
- Carry out laboratory work on water and sediment sample analysis.
- Plankton sample collection and identification.
- Recording the occurrence, abundance data and morphometric measurements of collected fish specimen from the fish landing centres for biodiversity assessment.
- Collect water and sediment samples from near shore and territorial waters.
- Paper writing and report compilation.
- Any other scientific/technical jobs assigned from time to time.
- The job involves halting during visits to fish landing centres in selected fishing villages. The selected candidates may be required to travel in sea for water, sediment and fish sample collection regularly. Further, boat trip is required to be carried out for water and sediment sample collection.
