1 I NDIAN IN STITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ( INDIAN SCHOOL OF MINES ) DHANBAD - 826004, INDIA GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS TO P G /Ph.D. PROGRAMMES (Applicable for students tak ing admission from the year Academic Session 20 22 - 23 onwards ) The following category of students from abroad viz Foreign Nationals, Non - Resident Indian (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) will be admitted to Indian Institute of Technology ( Indian School of Mines ) , Dhanbad subject to the fulfilment of the following requirements under different Post Graduate ( PG ) and Doctorate of Philosophy ( Ph.D. ) programmes. In all the courses (except B.Tech . /5 Year Integrated M . Sc . /M . Tech . / 5 Year Dual Degree course), a maximum of 25% seats may be filled as supernumerary seats over and a bove the total approved intake. F oreign student in this context shall be defined as the one who possesses a foreign passport; prefere nce to be given to person of Indian origin holding foreign passport .
