- If a Critical Care specialist is not available: Anesthesiologists/ Anesthetist/Medical Medicine Specialist/Pulmonary Medicine specialist or Pediatric Specialist may be considered.
- If post graduate doctors are not available: An MBBS doctor without PG degree, with two years of experience out of which 01 year of experience in the concerned specialty from government hospital/private hospital (not a private clinic), may be considered for 01 Yr. as Senior Resident on contract basis.
- Preference: Preference is to be given to a PG Qualified candidate.
- Private hospital experience: This should be supported by the Hospital Registration Certificate under Clinical Establishment Act.
- Who is not eligible: Candidates who have already worked as Senior Resident for 03 years under Central Residency Scheme are not eligible for applying for the post of Senior Resident.
- Serving Senior Residents: Senior Residents already working in any Govt. Institution/Hospital shall apply through proper channel. The total period, however, should not exceed the maximum period of 03 years.
- Tenure: For a period of 03 (Three) years with annual evaluation and term renewed every year based on satisfactory performance.
- Pay deductions: An amount of Rs. 1687.50/- will be deducted for a candidate who possesses only a PG Diploma, and Rs. 2812.50/- will be deducted for a candidate who does not possess a PG Degree or Diploma.
- Pay terms: The pay is on a No Work No Pay basis and will be revised from time to time as per ESIC Headquarters' guidelines and rules applicable.

Category Certificates and Forms
- OBC: The OBC Certificate as given at Annexure-A, along with the Self Declaration at Annexure-B to be given at a later stage. Without them, the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given.
- OBC reckoning date: The closing date for receipt of application is treated as the date of reckoning for OBC status and for assuming that the candidate does not fall in the creamy layer. The certificate must be issued on or before that closing date.
- EWS: The EWS Certificate given at Annexure-C.
- Ex-servicemen: The form of undertaking given at Annexure-D. It records that the candidate is not eligible for a vacancy reserved for ex-servicemen if the candidate has earlier secured civil employment by availing that reservation concession.
- Validity: Reserved category candidates must hold certificates valid for the current year in the prescribed format of Govt. of India, and the latest certificate in the case of OBC candidates.
- Government Service: A candidate working in the Government Service should submit a No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview.
What Happens on the Day
- Selection is through a Document Verification cum Walk-in-interview at the venue. A candidate has no right to be interviewed merely by submitting an application, unless the candidate reports at the venue on the scheduled date and time. Candidates who do not produce all the relevant documents at the time of interview will not have their candidature considered for the post.
- The decision of the selection board will be final on all aspects of selection, and no further correspondence will be entertained. Joining or appointment of a selected candidate is subject to medical fitness and detailed scrutiny of the eligibility conditions and documents. If required, details of unfilled vacancies after the interview will be notified on the website, and a Rolled Over walk-in interview will be held on the date decided by the competent authority.
Important Instructions
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to change the number of vacancies without any prior notice at the time of interview, and to fill up all posts or not to fill up any post without assigning any reasons.
- The Competent Authority also reserves the right to alter the date or venue, or cancel the interview, without assigning any reasons.
- If a suitable reserved category candidate is not available, the seats may be filled up for less than 45 days by an available candidate of any category.
- Selected or applied candidates will have no claim or right for regularization of the service or preference for regular appointment in the ESIC hospitals.
- The engagement may be terminated or discontinued by either side giving 01 (one) month prior notice without assigning any reason. If a regular candidate is appointed or joins, the appointment shall be terminated as per the condition of the contract.
- A selected candidate has to enter into an agreement with the Medical Superintendent on Non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/-, at the candidate's own cost. The original contract stays with the hospital and a copy with the candidate.
- A selected candidate has to furnish a Security Deposit in favor of "ESIC Fund Account No. 2", payable at State Bank of India, Gurugram. The amount is not specified in the notice.
- No TA / DA will be admissible either for the walk-in interview or for joining the post.
- Hostel accommodation, quarters and uniform will not be provided, and private practice will not be allowed.
- Wrong declarations, false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage, in addition to suitable legal action.
- Candidates shall be governed by the relevant rules and regulations adopted by the ESI corporation, and other terms and conditions will apply as issued by the competent authority from time to time.

How to Apply
- Fill the application in the prescribed format, Annexure-F, in capital letters. Applications in any other format and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
- Prepare a separate application for each post, along with the requisite fee.
- Report at the venue on 13 November 2026 between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
- Submit the application form, with the demand draft where the fee applies, at the Document Verification cum walk-in-interview.
- Before the interview, candidates may also send a copy of the completely filled Annexure F, with relevant and supporting documents and their contact number, to [email protected] till 13 November 2026. Annexure-F asks for details including the speciality and post applied for, NMC registration number, category, demand draft details, educational qualifications with number of attempts, and work experience. It also asks about any Senior Resident service in Central Govt. or State Govt., any NOC from the present employer, and any dismissal or punishment. Its declaration covers Indian citizenship and the accuracy of the statements made.
