- Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (C.G.), is a Central University established by the Central Universities Act, 2009, and describes itself as NAAC Accredited with A++ Grade. This post is in the university's Department of Biotechnology. It serves a research project funded by ICMR, New Delhi, led by Dr Santosh Kumar, Associate Professor and Principal Investigator.
Who Can Apply – Essential Qualification
- Three-year Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or any other relevant biological science from a recognised university/institution, with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
- OR Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology or other relevant biological sciences from a recognized university/institution.
- The notice accepts either of the following:
- The two years of post-qualification experience is required only with the three-year Bachelor's degree. The notice does not ask for experience with the Postgraduate degree.
Desirable Expertise
- Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, cell-based assays and routine laboratory techniques.
Pay and Tenure
- Emoluments: ₹ 28000 + HRA (10%) per month for a period of two years.
- A 5% increment in the third year as per ICMR norms.
- Term of engagement: initially for a period of one year, further extendable up to the duration of the project and/or co-terminus with the research project, based on satisfactory work and conduct.
- Project duration: maximum 3 years.
- The post is purely temporary, for a limited period or for the duration of the research project funded by the funding agency.
GGU Project Technical Support–III Job Description
- Assist in routine laboratory activities.
- Maintenance of cell cultures.
- Experimental work, sample management and research data compilation.
- Maintaining laboratory records and assisting in data analysis.
- Preparing project-related documents, progress reports and manuscripts.
- Other administrative and coordination activities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
