GSSSB Staff Nurse Vacancy Details 2026
- GSSSB has announced 11 Staff Nurse, Class 3 vacancies under the Special Recruitment Drive for eligible Persons with Disabilities. The vacancies are distributed among the notified disability groups as follows.
Eligible Disability Categories
- Group A: Low Vision (LV), with disability percentage of 40–70%.
- Group C: One Leg (OL), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Leprosy Cured (LC), Dwarfism (Dw), Acid Attack Victim (AAV), Both Arms (BA), Both Legs (BL), Spinal Deformity (SD) and Spinal Injury (SI), subject to the specified functional conditions.
- Group D & E: Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Mental Illness (MI) and Multiple Disabilities (MD) as specified in the notification.
- The notification specifies the following disability categories for the available vacancies.
- Special conditions: Candidates with Both Arms (BA) or Both Legs (BL) disabilities must satisfy the functional requirements prescribed by the relevant government resolution. Their suitability for the post may be determined through a Medical Board assessment.

GSSSB Staff Nurse Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing: A degree in B.Sc. Nursing from an eligible university or recognized institution, with recognition by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
- GNM Diploma: A Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
- Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications:
- In addition, candidates must possess basic computer application knowledge as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Nursing Council Registration
- Candidates who are not already registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council at the time of application must obtain the required registration before appointment, in accordance with the recruitment rules.
- Therefore, applicants who satisfy the prescribed nursing qualification but do not yet have Gujarat Nursing Council registration details at the time of online application should carefully follow the notification's registration requirements.
Computer Knowledge Requirement
- Candidates are required to possess basic computer knowledge under the applicable government rules. The notification permits candidates without the required computer knowledge certificate at the application stage to apply, provided they submit the prescribed proof before appointment.

Examination Instructions
