Disability and Residence
- Only Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) candidates can apply.
- You need a permanent disability of at least 40%. This must be shown on a Disability Certificate issued by the competent Medical Board, which means the District Medical Board. If you are selected, the certificate will be checked by the competent authority.
- You must be a bona fide resident of Himachal Pradesh, certified by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Tehsildar or Naib-Tehsildar.
Essential Qualification
- You must have passed the 10+2 Examination from a recognized Board of School Education or University. OR Matriculation from a recognized Board of School Education with a one or two year Diploma or Certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Information Technology (IT) Enabled Sectors (ITES), as notified by the Director General of Employment & Training (Govt. of India) from time to time. Another option is a three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT from a Polytechnic approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
- Computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.
- Differently abled candidates who are otherwise qualified for a clerical post, and whom the Medical Board certifies as unable to type, may be excused from the typing test. This applies only where a physical disability or deformity permanently prevents the person from typing. The same exemption also covers the Skill Test Norms on Computers.
- Eligibility for the essential qualification is judged as on the last date for applications.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh, and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in HP.
