- The ICFRE-Rain Forest Research Institute is a unit of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, located at Deovan, Sotai, Jorhat in Assam. This is a government institute. The posts are for a consultancy project funded by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL).

- The application form asks for the post applied for, up to two preferred project names, personal and contact details, educational qualifications, details of any contractual obligation to serve Central/State Govt./any other public sector undertaking or autonomous body, language proficiency, computer proficiency and previous work experience. It ends with a declaration that the appointment is liable for termination without notice if material information is found concealed or distorted.

- The walk-in interview starts from 9.30 am. Candidates report between 9.30 am and 10.30 am, submit the application form with copies of their documents, and show the originals for verification. The notice does not describe any other stage.
