About IIM Ranchi Research Assistant (RA)
- Indian Institute of Management Ranchi is a management institute in Ranchi. This recruitment is for one Research Assistant (RA) who will support the concerned faculty of the Operations Management Area. The work covers coding, data analysis and research support, together with academic and administration needs of the faculty and the Institute. The notice describes the post as contractual.
Who Can Apply – Essential Qualification
- Candidates must be major in Industrial Engineering & Management/ Operations Management/Operations Research/Mathematics and computing or allied areas.
- Candidates applying for the full-time position must have completed graduation.
- Candidates who are in the third or fourth year of graduation, or who are pursuing post-graduation, may apply for the part-time position.
Desirable Qualification
- A good academic record with exposure to mathematical modelling, algorithms and coding.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, CPLEX, MATHEMATICA or other optimization related software, and generative AI.

- A full-time candidate will be fulltime stationed at IIM Ranchi. For a full-time candidate, the total remuneration is not to exceed Rs. 30000 p.m.
- A part-time candidate will work from his or her own location and travel to IIM Ranchi as and when required. The allowance of up-to Rs. 5000 per visit will be reimbursed when the candidate travels to Ranchi for project related work.
- Any or both sides can terminate the contract with a written notice of one month.
- Upon selection, the candidate is expected to report for work on 01/12/26.
