IIT Roorkee Post Doctoral Fellow Eligibility 2026 – Essential Qualification
- You must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical / Manufacturing or allied Metallurgical Engineering. You also need a research background in metal processing and joining, with a good publication record.
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience in dissimilar metal welding
- Strong expertise in material characterization
- Expertise in numerical modeling skills and finite element simulation of manufacturing processes
- Research experience in development of functionally graded materials

Service Conditions
- The fellowship lasts 2 years.
- Either side can end the fellowship by giving one month's notice.
- The position is purely temporary.

- Fellows get 2.5 days of leave for each completed calendar month. Leave cannot be carried forward beyond the calendar year.
