Job Role and Responsibilities
- Liaise with important customers and Central Government Authorities, particularly the Department of Defence Production and the Defence Research & Development Organization.
- Maintain close liaison with the three Service Headquarters on ongoing Defence projects, and develop further business in night vision and laser sighting devices.
- Liaise with State Government Authorities, heads of other Public Sector Undertakings, customers, collaborators, and commercial and financial institutions.
- Provide overall leadership on indigenization and import substitution, exports, business development and marketing, defence production, modernization, R&D and innovation.
- The Chairman & Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the company, accountable to the Board of Directors and the Government of India, and responsible for its efficient functioning and for meeting its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
Educational Qualification
- The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate/ Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant/ Post Graduate/Graduate with MBA/ PGDIM from a leading institute.
Mandatory Experience
- Cumulative experience/exposure for at least 5 years during the last 10 years in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing, Project Management or Research & Development in an Industry of repute.
- Cumulative 5 years of experience in HR/IR/Personnel Management, along with at least 3 years experience during the last 10 years in any of the above core areas.
- The applicant should meet one of these two requirements:

- Applicants with experience in the Electronics/Opto-Electronics/Instrumentation/Communication Industry will be preferred.
Employment Status
- A Central Public Sector Enterprise, including as a full-time functional Director on its Board.

- On both the date of application and the date of interview, the applicant must be employed in a regular capacity, not a contractual or ad-hoc one, in one of the following:
