Management
- Essential: "Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)/PGDBM or a relevant allied discipline with the minimum of 60 percent marks."

- Desirable: Technology-savvy and proficient in the use of digital teaching tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and AI-enabled applications including Generative AI, for teaching, learning and academic content development.
Social Work
- A (i): A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- A (ii): Besides this, the candidate must have cleared NET conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- Note: NET/SLET/SET is also not required for Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar accredited test.
- OR B: A Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, the Times Higher Education (THE) or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
- Desirable: the same technology and digital teaching skills listed for Management.
Education (For B.Ed. Course)
- A (i): Postgraduate degree (viz. Pedagogy of Physical Science and Mathematics) with minimum 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.
- A (ii): Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed/M.A. Education) with minimum 55% marks.
- A (iii): Besides these, the candidate must have cleared NET conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test like SLET/SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- OR B: A Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, THE or ARWU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).
- Preferable: Pedagogy of Physical Science and Mathematics.
- Desirable: the same technology and digital teaching skills listed for Management.
Ph.D. Holders Registered Before 11 July 2009 (Social Work and Education)
- The Ph.D. degree has been awarded in a regular mode.
- The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted.
- The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal.
- The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
- For Social Work and Education, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 are governed by the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the awarding institution. They are exempted from NET/SLET/SET, subject to all of these conditions:
- The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Knowledge of Urdu (All Posts)
- Urdu is compulsory for all teaching posts as a general policy. The candidate should either be from an Urdu medium School/Madarsa, or should have studied Urdu as a subject at X Std., +2/Intermediate or UG level. Alternatively, the candidate may have studied Urdu as one of the subjects at X or XII from Central or State Boards recognized by the Govt. of India, Madrasa Boards of State Government, or NIOS/State Open Schools recognized by the Govt. of India (Ministry of HRD). UG/PG (Urdu), or Urdu as one of the subjects from any UGC recognized State/Central/Private University, is also accepted.
NET and SLET/SET Validity
- As per Clause 3.3(I) of the UGC Regulations, 2018, NET or an accredited test (SLET/SET) remains the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor wherever provided in those Regulations. SLET/SET is valid as the minimum eligibility for direct recruitment only to Universities/Colleges/Institutions in the respective state. The UGC Gazette Notification dated 31 July 2023 also states that a SLET/SET score is valid only for appointment in respective State Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
Pay and Terms
- The monthly remuneration is a salary not exceeding 50,000/- per month as per UGC norms. The engagement is contractual, on a short-term basis and purely temporary. Selected candidates shall be liable to be posted at MANUU Headquarters at Hyderabad or any of the Institutions of the University in the country, depending on the requirements and exigencies of service.
