Age Limit
- The upper age limit for the General Manager post is below 58 years as on the closing date of the vacancy notice.
Who Can Apply
- For General Manager (GM): Officers holding substantively posts in analogous grade (CDA / IDA) OR posts in Level-13 (CDA) & having 17 years’ service in Group ‘A’ OR posts carrying grade IDA E-7 (Rs. 100000-260000/-) for four years. Age must be below 58 years.
- For Additional General Manager (AGM): Officers holding substantively posts in analogous grade (CDA/IDA) OR posts in Level-13(CDA) & having 12-14 years’ service in Group ‘A’ OR posts in IDA E-6 grade (Rs. 90000-240000/-) for four years. Age must be below 56 years.
- Candidates must belong to the IRSSE / S&T Department and meet the following eligibility criteria based on the post:
- Note: The cut-off date for age and eligibility is reckoned as on the closing date of the vacancy notice (13 November 2026).
Pay and Terms
- Selected officers will receive parent pay plus deputation allowance. The appointment is on a deputation basis for an initial duration of five years, subject to government approval for exemption to RVNL from the rule of immediate absorption.
