Educational Qualification
- A Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven (7) point scale.
Experience
- At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale)/Assistant Professor with eight (8) years in the Associate Professor grade, with experience in educational administration.
- Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
- 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
- Candidates need one of the following:
Relaxation in Marks
- SC/ST category: 5% relaxation, from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master's degree level.
- Ph.D. degree holders who passed their Master's Degree prior to 19th September, 1991: 5% relaxation, from 55% to 50% of the marks.
- Existing incumbents already in the University system: the minimum requirement of 55% shall not be insisted upon.
Language Requirement
- Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying official correspondence and drafting reports.

Service Conditions
- The appointment is on tenure basis for 3 years in the first instance, or until the superannuation age, whichever is earlier.
- The selected candidate must join duty immediately and enter into an agreement with the University, in accordance with its laws, on joining the post.
- Pay protection in any manner will not be guaranteed to candidates in service on selection.

Other Instructions

- The University will not be responsible for any delay in receipt due to a public holiday, strike or any other unforeseen reason, and such applications are liable to be rejected.
