About the Project
- The post is in the ISRO-funded research project "Development of in situ engineered additive manufacturing technique for fabricating Inconel 718 parts". The project aims to develop an in-situ engineering methodology for deposition and online control of Inconel 718 parts through the Laser-Additive manufacturing process. The Direct Energy Deposition system at IIT Bhilai will be used to develop online quality monitoring and control strategies involving a Machine learning based approach.
- The Principal Investigator is Purnendu Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bhilai, Kutelabhata, Khapri, Durg, Chhattisgarh- 491001.

- The position is temporary for a period of 89 days, and subject to extension as per IIT Bhilai Norms. The appointment will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/funding agency particularly applicable to the project as and when required. The notice states that the position is available immediately.

What Happens on the Day
- Selection is by a selection committee, whose decision is final. If the number of shortlisted candidates called for the interview is large, the committee may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
Important Instructions
- No TA/DA will be provided to the candidate for the interview.
