Age Limit
- Upper age limit relaxations are applicable to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes candidates as per rules, given that the general applicant age must not exceed 36 years as of 01.01.2026.
Posts and Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Science Plus Two or equivalent, and B.Sc. Physics or equivalent.
- Experience: Five years of working experience in a Physics laboratory (Post-Graduate laboratory experience is desirable), along with experience in handling equipment maintenance in a PG laboratory.
- Age Limit: Must not exceed 36 years as of 01.01.2026. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) candidates as per rules.
- The temporary contract appointment is for the post of Lab Technician at the School of Pure and Applied Physics under a one-year contract.

What Happens on the Day
- Candidates must report at the University Administration Section AD A 5, Mahatma Gandhi University on 26 October 2026 at 10:00 AM with the filled application form and all required original and photocopies of documents. The walk-in interview will commence at 10:30 AM at the Mini Conference Hall. Selected candidates will be required to enter into an agreement with the University.
