About NHSRC Senior DBA
- National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) is a technical support institution under the National Health Mission (NHM), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The centre works closely with the MoHFW and the States for health systems strengthening. Work at NHSRC is organised around eight divisions, including the IT Division which oversees technical and database infrastructure for healthcare systems.

Pay and Terms
- The remuneration range is between Rs. 1,50,000/- to Rs. 1,75,000/- per month. The fee offered within the band will be commensurate with qualification and experience. The consultancy is a short-term position for 11 months. Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Delhi/NCR region, and the selected candidate will be required to join within 7 days.
NHSRC Senior DBA Job Description
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise healthcare database systems.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain diverse database ecosystems across Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB) platforms.
- Engineer and manage highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid database environments.
- Ensure database performance optimization, tuning, indexing, partitioning, and capacity planning.
- Configure and manage Master-Slave (Primary-Replica) replication topologies to ensure high availability, data redundancy, and read-workload offloading.
- Monitor and troubleshoot replication lag, synchronization errors, and connectivity issues.
- Execute failover procedures and disaster recovery drills, promoting replica nodes to primary status to minimize downtime.
- Monitor database health, availability, and uptime for critical healthcare applications.
- Handle database upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Implement database security controls including encryption, role-based access, auditing, and vulnerability management.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient healthcare data.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct DR drills and ensure business continuity for operations.
- Assist in healthcare data warehousing and interoperability initiatives.
