Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC-Non Creamy Layer 3 years, Ex-Servicemen (more than 6 months service after attestation) Service rendered in Defence plus 3 years, PwD (40% and above) UR 10 years, OBC-NCL 13 years, SC/ST 15 years, Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 5 years, Serving Group C / erstwhile Group D Railway staff, casual labour and substitutes with 3 years service Up to 40 years of age (UR), 43 (OBC-NCL), 45 (SC/ST), Quasi-administrative offices of the Railway Length of service or 5 years, whichever is lower, Widowed, divorced or judicially separated women not remarried Up to 35 years of age (UR), 38 (OBC-NCL), 40 (SC/ST).
- Persons appointed as Clerk-cum-Typist must acquire typing at 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within two years of appointment. Candidates already in Govt. service must apply with NOC from the employer. Applicants must bring their own musical instrument or cultural uniform for the Practical Demonstration. No relaxation in Education and Cultural qualification is permissible.
