Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Qualification and experience shall be that of the Professor in relevant discipline having aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years; A (i): An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, actively engaged in research, with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation 2018; A (ii): A minimum of fifteen years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions, with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate; OR B: An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence, provided he/she has fifteen years' experience
- Experience: Aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years
Other conditions
- Knowledge of Marathi Language is essential
- Eligibility criteria will be as that for the post of Professor
- Teaching experience as an approved teacher will only be considered
- Experience in regular scale will only be considered towards total experience
- Time taken to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. is not counted as teaching/research experience
- For doctoral guidance experience, at least one student must have submitted the Ph.D. thesis for evaluation

- Administrative experience to coordinate various administrative and academic processes of a large University
- Experience of handling foreign delegations and/or collaborative matters in the University
- Some experience of managing affairs of International Students in the University
- Exposure of teaching/administration in leading Foreign University
- Implementation of policies and strategies for promotion of international linkages with premier national and international universities and institutions
- Overseeing administration of International Students cell and processing visit and exchange applications
Who Cannot Apply for SPPU Recruitment 2026
