Experience at Assistant Professor level with Academic Grade Pay ₹6000 or ₹7000 (Pay Level 10 or 11) is required as per MHRD letter dated 27th October 2017. Part-time, teaching assistant, or visiting/guest faculty experience is not counted. Regular experience of more than six months in eligible institutions/organizations will be considered. |
Pay and Terms
- Selected candidates for Assistant Professor Grade-I will be placed in Pay Level 12 of the Pay Matrix, with a pay range of ₹101,500/-pm to ₹167,400/-pm along with admissible allowances. Fresh appointees will be covered under the National Pension Scheme (NPS-2004) as per Government of India rules. Available facilities and incentives include Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA), provision for industrial consultancy, reimbursement of tuition fees for children up to XII standard, LTC, medical facilities, accommodation or HRA, seed grant up to ₹10,00,000/- for research activities, and reimbursement of telephone and data charges as per institute norms. All appointments in Pay Level 12 are made on probation for a period of one year.

SVNIT Assistant Professor Grade-I Important Instructions
- Applications received only in soft copy will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected if hard copies with self-attested photocopies are not received by 07.12.2026.
- Candidates applying for more than one post, pay level, and/or department must apply separately with all enclosures and application fees.
- Applications without payment of the non-refundable application fee will be considered incomplete and rejected.
- All pages of the hard copy of the application must be numbered and signed, and the total number of pages must be written on the first page.
- The envelope containing the application form must be superscribed with the advertisement number, date, post applied for, department, and application ID number.
- Regular employees in Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector, or Autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel or bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
- Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except for candidates with exceptional research and ongoing or approved externally funded projects.
