Educational Qualification
- A Ph.D. degree with research focused on Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) or Information Technology/IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES).
- The Ph.D. must be from a recognised institution, with first class (in terms of grades, etc.) at every earlier level and a good academic record throughout.
- The Ph.D. must have been completed within the past 5 years, counted on the last date for applications.
- Candidates who earned their Ph.D. from the University of Allahabad are not eligible.
Other Conditions
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- The fellowship goes to researchers with a proven academic record, including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions.
- Applicants in regular employment will not be considered. Scientists or researchers in temporary academic or research posts may apply, but they must give up those posts if selected.
- Anyone who has already received this fellowship under the scheme is not eligible.
- The research proposal must set out clear objectives, outcomes and deliverables against the award.
Preferred
- Preference will go to applicants who have active links with industry and whose research proposal addresses industry-specific problems.

Service Conditions
- This is a full-time, non-transferable, temporary position, tenable in India only.
- The fellowship is valid for 1 year. The scheme does not allow any extension beyond one year.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the screening test or interview.
- The university may revise, reschedule, cancel or suspend the process without giving a reason. Its decision is final, and no appeal will be accepted.

- Comprehensive CV
- Self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents, including marksheets/grade cards, experience proof and publication proof
- Proof of GATE/NET/JRF qualification, if any
- Matriculation/SSC certificate or pass certificate from the board. This is the only document accepted as proof of date of birth.
- Caste certificate in the Govt. of India proforma for SC/ST/OBC candidates. SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates must not be more than 06 months old.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, for working candidates

How to Apply for UoA Postdoctoral Fellowship Recruitment 2026
- Pay the fee online into the Punjab National Bank account given above and keep the receipt.
- Fill in the application form (Annexure-1) at the end of the notice. It asks for personal details, correspondence and permanent addresses, academic records from 10th to Ph.D., GATE/NET/JRF details, work experience, previous research and publications, and a detailed research proposal. Paste a self-attested recent passport-size photograph on it and sign the declaration.
- Send the completed form and all documents by Indian post to: The Head of the Department, Department of Electronics and Communication, Science Faculty, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj-211002, U.P. India.
- Write on the envelope: "Application for PDF position under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme, for Electronics and IT, Phase-II, DIC, MietY at University of Allahabad".
- Make sure the hard copy reaches the department by 18 November 2026.
