- APDCL is a distribution licensee whose office of the Chief General Manager (HRA) is at Bijulee Bhawan, Guwahati. The State Level CGRF is the forum that hears consumer grievances, and its work is governed by the Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission (Redressal of Consumer Grievances) Regulations, 2022. This notice fills the seat of the Consumer Representative that APDCL nominates to the Forum.

- The duties and responsibilities are as stipulated in the Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission (Redressal of Consumer Grievances) Regulations, 2022, as amended from time to time by AERC/Competent Authority. Every nominated member holds office for a term of three years from the date of entry into the office. A selected Member will be given short notice to join in the respective office.

Important Instructions
- No person shall be appointed, or continue as a member, if disqualified on account of: having been adjudged an insolvent; having been convicted of an offence which, in the opinion of APDCL, involves moral turpitude; having become physically or mentally incapable of acting as such member.
- Also disqualified: having acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially the functions as a representative; having so abused the position as to render continuance in office prejudicial to public interest; or having been guilty of proved misbehavior.
- An existing member is liable to be removed from office on account of any of these disqualifications arising or being discovered, after following due process of law.
- If at any stage it is detected that a candidate has submitted false information, the candidature will be rejected forthwith.
- Bringing influence at any stage of the selection process will disqualify the candidature with immediate effect.
- APDCL reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process for the post without assigning any reasons.
