Who Can Apply
- Officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary/Director level from the All India Services or any Organized Group 'A' Services of the Government of India participating under the Central Staffing Scheme are eligible for the aforesaid post.
- Candidates must ensure that the cooling-off after a previous stint on deputation, if any, is completed and they are eligible to be appointed on central deputation as per instructions. Applications of eligible officers already working on central deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS)/Non-Central Staffing Scheme of the Government of India must be forwarded by their respective Ministries/Departments along with the approval of their respective Minister-in-Charge.
Pay and Terms
- The level of pay shall be as admissible to DS/Director level officer in Government of India. The period of deputation would be 4 years for Deputy Secretary Level or 5 years for Director Level. The post is a Non-Central Staffing Scheme post to be filled up through the Civil Services Board (CSB) procedure. No Mandatory Posting Certificate for allotment/retention of Government accommodation would be issued by the office to the officer appointed, unless the officer is currently on CSS deputation and has completed four years on the same.
Important Instructions
- Officers who have earlier applied against the vacancy circular dated 15.04.2026 may need to apply again for the post.
- Nominations and applications are required to be routed through DOPT's online interface (SUPREMO).
- Applications must be forwarded by the Ministries/Departments concerned along with the approval of their respective Minister-in-Charge.
- Candidates must complete the required cooling-off period from any previous deputation stint before applying.
- The position does not include a Mandatory Posting Certificate for government accommodation unless currently on CSS deputation for at least four years.
- The final last date for the submission of applications is 16.11.2026.
