- A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading system is followed) in Computer Science or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET, or awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (exemptions apply as per UGC norms).
- OR B.E. / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech with at least one degree either at UG or PG level in relevant discipline with first class/equivalent credits (marks) at UG and PG in any one of the degrees.
- OR B.E. / B.Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent credits (marks) in any one of the two degrees.
- OR Graduation of three years' duration and MCA with First Class or equivalent credits (marks) with two years of relevant professional industry experience after acquiring degree of MCA (two years professional experience exempted for Ph.D. degree holders in relevant discipline, and one year experience exempted for MCA of three years duration or graduation of four years duration).
- OR Ph.D. in relevant/allied discipline with First Class in MCA or direct Ph.D. with first class B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant discipline.

What Happens on the Day
- Candidates must report at the designated venue on 24 October 2026 at 10:00 AM. Short-listing of candidates for the interview is based on the academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A for Universities, and Table 3B for Colleges) of UGC Regulations 2018. Final selections are based solely on performance in the interview.
Important Instructions
- The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis for 11 months or completion of semester (whichever is earlier).
- No other benefits will be given.
- Medium of instruction at all levels is generally in Gujarati; hence, knowledge of Gujarati/Hindi is essential.
- A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other specified categories as per UGC regulations.
- Canvassing in any form on behalf of or by any candidate will disqualify him/her from being considered.
- Gujarat Vidyapith reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised and may increase or decrease the actual number of posts in a discipline depending on the circumstances.
- A candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified.
