Who Can Apply

  • Eligible and willing officers belonging to the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
  • Officers must have completed their mandatory "cooling off" period.
  • Officers previously on deputation must have completed the mandatory cooling off period as per extant guidelines of the Central Government.
  • Applications must be sponsored by the concerned State/UT Government or Cadre Controlling Authority.

Pay and Terms

  • The selected Deputy Chief Executive Officer will draw pay and allowances as per the Central Staffing Scheme of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change issued via OM No.A.12011/1/2003-IFS.I dated 06.05.2011. The appointment includes provisions for leased accommodation as per the same guidelines. The posting duration is for a period not exceeding five years, and officers are required to take up the assignment within 3 weeks after their appointment is approved.

  • Assist the Executive Committee in the performance of its functions and powers as laid down in the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Act, 2016.

Important Instructions

  • Only officers with a completed cooling-off period will be considered.

  • Incomplete applications or those received without required documents such as ACRs and vigilance clearance will not be considered.
