- Tamil Nadu National Law University is a university in Tiruchirappalli, established under the Tamil Nadu National Law University Act, 2012 (Tamil Nadu Act No. 9 of 2012). The Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, who is the Chancellor of TNNLU, has constituted a Search cum Selection Committee to prepare a panel of names for appointment to the post of Vice Chancellor.

- at least ten years of experience in reputed research organisation and/or academic / administrative organisation, with proof of demonstrated academic leadership.
- The Vice-Chancellor should be a distinguished academician with the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment. The candidate should have either:

The Vice-Chancellor should also be able to promote the University at the national and international levels and build strong linkages with reputed academic institutions, Government and Industry.
